- - Influenster | Bioré Baking Soda VoxBox | Cleansing Scrub & Pore Cleanser Review - -

Disclaimer: I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Last month I was thrilled to find out I was going to receive the Influenster Bioré VoxBox! I have never tried any products from Bioré but I have heard about the brand, so I was excited to experience it.

What is special about two of the newest cleansing products from Bioré is that they are formulated with baking soda, which is an unexpected ingredient that helps to deeply cleanse pores, fight acne, and brighten/even out skin tone.

The two products that were included in the VoxBox were: the Pore Cleanser and the Cleansing Scrub, both of which were quite fun to try!

1 || Baking Soda Pore Cleanser

The Baking Soda Pore Cleanser is a daily cleanser that gently exfoliates the skin. One of my favourite things about this cleanser is that it smells AMAZING! The scent is light and pleasantly sweet / floral. The label does mention that this product is more suitable for combination skin. I have normal to sensitive skin, and I found that the cleanser worked okay for my skin type. I did experience a bit of redness on my cheeks at first, but this seems to have stopped for the most part.

I have been using the cleanser in the following way - I put a half a pump onto a konjac sponge, massage the sponge on my skin, and then wash everything off with cold water. Afterwards, my skin feels pretty normal - not dry and not oily. This routine seems to work well for me, and again - what I look forward to the most each time is the scent of the cleanser. :)

2 || Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

The Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub was also an interesting product to try. It comes in the form of a white powder, which you then have to add water to, to "activate." It has a grapefruity scent, which I like a little less than the cleanser.

I think that this scrub is great for anyone looking for a gentle exfoliator. If you prefer a stronger scrub, you can always lessen the amount of water you use.

I really like how soft this scrub leaves your skin, and this seems like a pretty long-lasting product since a little goes a long way. Now if only I could get past the grapefruit scent...hmm.

Have you tried anything from Bioré?

Thank you for reading!
