I've been keeping a low profile in the past couple of days, but I'm slowly coming out of hiding. I've got quite a few reviews in the works right now, so definitely keep your eyes out for those in the coming days.

For now, I wanted to share with you the manicures that I got to try out in March. Compared to February, I didn't get to try too many designs/polishes - although I have branched out from strictly Julep manicures. I've actually been in the process of rehabilitating my nails lately because they seem to suffer from peeling. Any suggestions on how I can stop my nails from peeling?

Gosh, it has been soo long since my last Luxe Box! Three months feels like forever to wait for a box; however, I pulled through and here it is at last! I have a special place in my heart for Luxe Box because while Julep was my first subscription box, Luxe Box was the very first sampling service I signed up for. Three boxes later, I am still happy with the products I receive.
For my spring box I selected the Prada Luna Rossa Upgrade, which added a complimentary deluxe sized sample (9mL) of Prada's Luna Rossa cologne to the regular 7-8 samples in my box.
Just a warning - this is going to be a pretty long and picture-heavy post. Hopefully you find it helpful though.

I've been pretty busy since my last post - with work, with school - and to add onto everything, I found out last night about the untimely passing of my grandmother (father's side). So yeah...just a roller coaster of emotions lately.
Anyways, to keep myself distracted I've been working on a review of the Spring 2014 Luxe Box, which I'm hoping will be published shortly. I'm also hoping that loosebutton.com will update my product dashboard soon because that would significantly speed up the process. (Oh! And I also received my Lucky Mystery Box(es) 15 minutes ago. I received my Topbox package on the same day as Beauty Box 5. Just as with last month, I went with a regular Topbox for March. I had mentioned at the end of my February review that I was debating whether or not to stay with this subscription. I still go back and forth a lot but I think I've made my final decision. I'll let you know what it is at the end of this review.

Many of the boxes that I had seen reviewed online had a lot of the same products, so I figured that there would probably not be any surprises for me. It turns out that there were surprises in this month's box - both good and bad surprises.

It's amazing how quickly the months are passing by, isn't it? We're almost in the middle of March and spring is just around the corner (hopefully). To remind us that warmer days are coming, Julep titled their March selection of polishes and products as "The Riviera Collection", which includes a lot of bright spring colours: reds, oranges, and a yellow.
Compared to last month's polishes, which I would say were, indeed, dramatic, The Riviera Collection left me feeling a bit underwhelmed (my favourite new word to use since I started blogging). I feel like a lot of the colours were repeats or, at the very least, very similar to polishes that Julep already had. Imagine coming out with about 10 polishes every month - is it possible that you simply start running out of ideas?
Instead of skipping the month, I decided to go with the Classic With a Twist box because I was really drawn to the polish, Soraphine. I also chose Tania as an add-on. For a full review of this box, please read further...

Keep in mind that you don't need to have a Julep subscription to purchase mystery boxes.
Judging by the recent changes to Julep's shipping policy (with DHL being made the standard shipping courier), chances are slim that you'll get this mystery box in time for St. Patrick's Day. I'm not sure if it has to do with not being born in North America, but I've never really cared too much for St. Patrick's Day, so it doesn't matter if I get this box in time for it or not. Maybe you're like me and just love mystery boxes for their, well...mystery?

I've got another Loot Crate to show you today! As I have now noticed, the theme of a given box is announced at the beginning of each month. This time around the theme was "Warriors" and Loot Crate let us know ahead of time that the February box would be containing a shirt.
To go along with the theme, many of the contents were Bravest Warriors-related items. I'm just going to come out and say this right now - I am not really familiar with Bravest Warriors. I'm definitely going to have to check it out sometime, but at this point I feel like I didn't get as much out of this box as I would have if I were a fan.

My Julep Cupid's Mystery Box arrived on February 25th - a mere 20 days after I placed my order and a mere 19 days after the order was shipped...yay!
I'm being completely sarcastic - Julep's new shipping policy sucks.
I've been reading what people have been saying and apparently the super fast shipping we all had before was actually a promo, which you now have to pay $5.99 for. The new standard shipping has unfortunately become DHL. I've actually only heard of DHL in passing before, but now I associate it strictly with pretty slow mail service. I used to get the mystery boxes while there were very few reviews online; now, I receive them well after everyone gets them. Grr.
In any case, I was pretty happy to finally get my mystery box - even if I did already know its contents beforehand. Please read further for a closer look at the products inside...

This morning though, I received an email, which, after checking out, got me really excited about March and made me want to tell you guys about it. Now, one of my favourite things about March is the upcoming shipment of my Spring Luxe Box, which I have been patiently waiting two months for. To add to the excitement, the email I received from Luxe Box notified me of the Prada Luna Rossa upgrade that I could choose for my Spring Box.
