So it turns out that this year I got to participate in not one but TWO ModCloth Stylish Surprises! The last Stylish Surprise was back in April and the latest one was last month.

A Stylish Surprise is a chance to get some sort of mystery item from ModCloth, which is (in my opinion) the best place for indie fashion, accessories, home decor, and miscellaneous goodies. There are a number of S.S. categories you can choose from (accessories, dresses, shoes, apparel) and they range from $5 - $20 (USD). As the item is a surprise, you don't know what you're getting until the package is at your doorstep!

I usually try stick to the "shoes" category and today I wanted to briefly show you guys what I received a few weeks back. Check out the photos after the jump!

This post has been in my draft folder forever, so today I'm going to stop dragging things on and just publish it. I'll keep things short and sweet!

A couple of months ago ModCloth - my one and only online destination for indie fashion, accessories, home decor, and miscellaneous goodies - released another one of their famous "Stylish Surprises." A Stylish Surprise is a chance to pick up a mystery item for $5 - $20 (US). There are a number of categories you can choose an item from (typically: accessories, dresses, shoes, and apparel). As the item is a surprise you don't know what you're getting until the package is at your doorstep - this is both exciting and scary!

I've had my fair share of stylish surprises (check out my most recent reviews: March 2014 & April 2015). Now I know only to take chances on the "Shoe" category, and that's exactly what I did this time around. Since the Stylish Surprise came at a time around my birthday and you know, I love surprises, I decided to place two orders - both of which I'm going to show you right now. 😊

Hey guys!

Definitely a shorter post today! A couple of weeks ago I got my package from the RoseRoseShop which included three Lip Tint Sticks from THEFACESHOP.

Now this isn't a new product - the original Lip Tint Stick was part of the "Lovely Me:Ex" line a while back but it is now discontinued. If you were a fan of the lip tint fret not because the product is back and the only thing that is different about it is the packaging. I'm not sure if the repackaged version will ever make its way into Canada, but you can definitely find these tints at THEFACESHOP locations in the US.

How did I hear about these tints? A co-worker of mine raves about this product all the time, so I decided to place an order and see if it was worth all the excitement.

My previous post was about the samples that I received from Petal & Post, an e-boutique of natural, organic, and all-around healthy products. I enjoyed the samples, so I decided to delve a little further and see what other interesting products I could find on the Petal & Post website.

Petal & Post has such a wide range of products! They have baby products, skincare and beauty items, kitchen and laundry necessities, and much much more. You can basically purchase everything that you need for yourself and for your home all in one place.  Amazing, no?

About a week and a half ago I took advantage of the Stylish Surprises that ModCloth was selling. At the time there were three boxes available: apparel ($10), shoes ($10), and accessories ($5). By purchasing any of these, you would get a mystery item that was valued anywhere from $29.99 to $299.99 (the promised value for shoes was $29.99 - $199.99).

Hey everyone,

I've been pretty busy since my last post - with work, with school - and to add onto everything, I found out last night about the untimely passing of my grandmother (father's side). So yeah...just a roller coaster of emotions lately.

Anyways, to keep myself distracted I've been working on a review of the Spring 2014 Luxe Box, which I'm hoping will be published shortly. I'm also hoping that loosebutton.com will update my product dashboard soon because that would significantly speed up the process. (Oh! And I also received my Lucky Mystery Box(es) 15 minutes ago. Hello again!

I hope everyone who was celebrating Thanksgiving yesterday had a lovely day. Here in Canada we had Thanksgiving in October, but we still have an opportunity to shop some amazing Black Friday deals. It's interesting - I can't remember Black Friday being such a big deal last year. Just to show you what a big deal it is in Canada this year - - I'm not sure about other malls, but at least the one that I work at has opened up at 7am today (regular opening is at 10am). You can definitely tell that people are serious about making the most of the Black Friday deals. I wonder if it's been a "Boxing Day" busy kind of day though...
