Hi everyone!

It's been a busy few days for me, but I finally got a chance to sit down peacefully with my cup of tea and write. This time around I wanted to share with you Julep's December collection: Glitterati. The window for the selection of the December Maven boxes has unfortunately already passed (Nov. 21st - 24th), but next month I'll make sure to share the upcoming collection while there is still time to get it.

I actually looked up the definition of the name of this collection and this is what I found:

There are quite a lot of glitter and metallic colours in this collection, which is of course appropriate since the holidays are coming up fast.

This time around, the beauty product that is featured in (almost) every set is the Sweep Eyeshadow Palette: Neutrals.

In addition to the eyeshadow palette, there is also the Blank Canvas Mattifying Eye Primer available in certain sets/upgrades:

Upgrades

1) Polish Lover Upgrade (+$25) - NEW | Value: $126

From what I understand, this upgrade is something that hasn't been offered before. What it allows you to do is get the entire set of the December nail polishes (9 colours) without the additional beauty products that are typically offered in Julep's upgrades. I've been with Julep for two collections so far, and although I like a lot more colours in this collection than in the November one, I still wouldn't say that I love all the colours enough to get this upgrade. It's a really good idea though!

2) The Glitterati Collection: Upgrade (+$35) | Value: $175

This is basically all of the nail polishes plus two of the featured beauty products for the month -- the eye shadow palette & the eye primer.

3) The Glitterati Collection: Ultimate Upgrade (+$55) | Value: $234

 

For anyone who adores the entire collection, there was the possibility (as there usually is) to get the entire December collection. Included in this set are: 9 December nail polishes, the eye shadow palette, the eye primer, Julep's eyeshadow brush, and the add-on, "Party Dress Duo," as a bonus.

The set that caught my eye was my go-to profile: Classic With a Twist. Aside from that, Misti and Celia really caught my eye. Misti is an interesting colour and I'm pretty excited about seeing the colour in person. Celia seems to be a really popular colour in this collection. When Julep posted the preview of It Girl, a lot of people were attracted to the colour. At first I didn't really think much of it, but I have a skirt from Modcloth in the same kind of colour that I think will look really great matched with Celia during the holidays.
