- - MakeSpace | My Go-To Fall Essential(s) - -

I recently got an invitation from MakeSpace, an on-demand self-storage service that picks up, stores, and delivers your items to you, to discuss the Fall essentials that I'm rocking this year.

To be honest, there's only one item that - year after year - I dig out from the "cold weather" bin in my basement and that is my favourite Club Monaco wool beret. It's honestly the best hat ever! This little hat has gotten me through all of autumn for the last 4 years and through most of the winters. If they ever release the exact beret again I'm seriously buying about 3 more of them. Until then, I have to keep my one and only in excellent shape.

I do have to say though that I have changed things up a tiny bit this autumn. Since the weather in Toronto has been fairly warm this year (seriously...it'll be 15° Celsius tomorrow and even higher next week),  I've been trying to wear a floppy Fall hat more and more (pictured above).

This floppy hat (from Dynamite) definitely isn't made for our Canadian winters, but while the weather is fairly mild it's keeping me warm (as well as fashionable!).

One thing for sure though - after the season passes all of my autumn and winter gear will go back to the basement. Wouldn't it be great though if you could have an on-demand service that stored your unneeded items somewhere other than the back of your closet or basement? That's what MakeSpace does! MakeSpace actually has an App that makes the process of moving items away and back to you easier and literally at your fingertips. I hope you guys have a moment to check them out and see what cities they offer their services in!

- - L'Occitane | Joyeuses Fêtes Voyage Set Review - -

Last week L'Occitane released their Holiday 2016 collection. This is super exciting news for anyone who has been waiting on that famous L'Occitane Advent Calendar to finally be released! Along with the Advent Calendar, L'Occitane also introduced a number of gift sets from their best-selling product lines - Shea Butter, Almond, and Lavender. These sets cost $65 and up. They're pretty good value for what you get inside, but they're definitely not the least expensive out there.

Luckily, L'Occitane did release a number of smaller gift packages that are totally affordable and just as great in quality as the bigger sets. In fact, if you ever go into a L'Occitane boutique check out one set in particular: the Joyeuses Fêtes Voyage Set. I'm going to tell you a little more about it today.

- - Adore Me | Autumn Palette Challenge - -

When the leaves start changing colours you know that Autumn has officially arrived.

To go along with the feel of the season, I recently got some encouragement from Adore Me, a lovely one-stop shop for everything lingerie, to talk about a Fall beauty trend that I'm rocking this year. I love trying out new products, yet I'm actually pretty minimalist when it comes to daily makeup. I do experiment from time to time (even if it's in the comfort of my own home), so if I had to choose one trend for Autumn 2016, I would have to say that it's a metallic lip - especially a red metallic lip.

To find more inspiration I looked through Adore Me's bras and panties page. It was tough finding a favourite set because they have so many! The one set that spoke out to me though was Zariah. It's a classic and understated bralette & panty set:

- - A.H.C. Climax Water Pool Cleanser Review - -

You might be thinking right now - what a random thing to have...a pool cleanser.

That's exactly what I thought when I received the A.H.C. Climax Water Pool Cleanser in a Memebox (Global #17) some time ago. It turned out that this item in my box was actually a makeup remover! I'm only now getting around to using it and that's why today I wanted to share with you my thoughts, my experience, and more information about this curious product.

So it turns out that this year I got to participate in not one but TWO ModCloth Stylish Surprises! The last Stylish Surprise was back in April and the latest one was last month.

A Stylish Surprise is a chance to get some sort of mystery item from ModCloth, which is (in my opinion) the best place for indie fashion, accessories, home decor, and miscellaneous goodies. There are a number of S.S. categories you can choose from (accessories, dresses, shoes, apparel) and they range from $5 - $20 (USD). As the item is a surprise, you don't know what you're getting until the package is at your doorstep!

This post has been in my draft folder forever, so today I'm going to stop dragging things on and just publish it. I'll keep things short and sweet!

A couple of months ago ModCloth - my one and only online destination for indie fashion, accessories, home decor, and miscellaneous goodies - released another one of their famous "Stylish Surprises." A Stylish Surprise is a chance to pick up a mystery item for $5 - $20 (US). There are a number of categories you can choose an item from (typically: accessories, dresses, shoes, and apparel). As the item is a surprise you don't know what you're getting until the package is at your doorstep - this is both exciting and scary!

I've had my fair share of stylish surprises (check out my most recent reviews: March 2014 & April 2015). Now I know only to take chances on the "Shoe" category, and that's exactly what I did this time around. Since the Stylish Surprise came at a time around my birthday and you know, I love surprises, I decided to place two orders - both of which I'm going to show you right now. 😊

A few months ago one of my co-workers came to work really excited! You see, the evening before she was at a restaurant, and there was a woman there who was wearing a red lipstick which didn't budge AT ALL throughout her meal. It turned out that the woman had on one of Colour Pop's Ultra Matte Lips (super pigmented, long-lasting lip gloss).

I had never heard of Colour Pop before and I was intrigued by a lip product that could truly last through a meal, so I decided to order a few lip glosses. The prices are very good ($6.00 USD), but there are sooo many shades that it's a bit overwhelming!

Just when I thought I was done with subscription boxes another one pops up that I just had to try!

Fruits & Passion has recently come out with two subscription boxes: Dare Your Passion and Live your Passion. Dare is meant to bring "new and innovative" products to your doorstep, while Live brings you tried and true customers favourites. Both boxes promise to have a $70+ value and shipping options are available for U.S. and Canada.

For both boxes you can choose to either: (1) try a one-time box for $45 (CAD), or (2) subscribe for $39/month with the ability to change or skip boxes as well as cancel at any time. I'm pretty familiar with F&P - especially with their Cucina line - so it made more sense to try out Dare. Last month I was thrilled to find out I was going to receive the Influenster Bioré VoxBox! I have never tried any products from Bioré but I have heard about the brand, so I was excited to experience it.

What is special about two of the newest cleansing products from Bioré is that they are formulated with baking soda, which is an unexpected ingredient that helps to deeply cleanse pores, fight acne, and brighten/even out skin tone.

The two products that were included in the VoxBox were: the Pore Cleanser and the Cleansing Scrub, both of which were quite fun to try!

Have you ever tried any of the shower jellies from LUSH? They are quite easily my favourite products from the brand! For anyone who has not heard of shower jellies, they are pretty much a shower gel but instead of being a liquid, they are in wobbly, fun, jelly form. :)

As part of their Easter collection of products, LUSH introduced Bouncy Bunny, a Brazilian orange oil-infused shower jelly, in the shape of - you guessed it - a bunny!

Have you ever heard of Saje? I first found out about this Canadian brand when the new mall wing opened at Sherway Gardens. I have since purchased quite a few products from Saje that I have really liked.

What is special about Saje is that it's a 100% natural brand of essential oil products, wellness accessories, remedies, skincare, and much more.

In December when I was putting gift baskets together, I decided to throw in a bath swish from Saje into each basket. You're probably wondering what exactly a "bath swish" is. Its main purpose is to help you relax with the essential oil aroma that it diffuses. Think of it as a bath bomb, but more for its scent than its effect in the water. The bath swishes are small, smell great, and come in super colourful packaging! Of course I couldn't resist picking up two for myself. :)

Today I wanted to talk about MY FAVOURITE PRODUCT EVER! As you may have guessed, that is lip balm.

BUT not just any lip balm - Epic Blend lip balm!

Some of you may agree with me. Others may find these lip balms to be annoying filler in subscription boxes. In any case, after years and years of searching, I can tell you that there's nothing better out there than these for me. Why? Let me tell you why I think these lip balms are so great!
