- - LUSH | Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly Review - -

Have you ever tried any of the shower jellies from LUSH? They are quite easily my favourite products from the brand! For anyone who has not heard of shower jellies, they are pretty much a shower gel but instead of being a liquid, they are in wobbly, fun, jelly form. :)

As part of their Easter collection of products, LUSH introduced Bouncy Bunny, a Brazilian orange oil-infused shower jelly, in the shape of - you guessed it - a bunny!

I'm going to share lots of photos with you after the jump!

With their unconventional form, shower jellies can be tricky to use. As I see it, there are four five ways that you can go about using your shower jelly:
  1. You can take out the entire jelly and use it on your body as you would a bar of soap.
  2. You can stick the container in your freezer until it solidifies and then use the entire jelly just like in #1
  3. You can break a little piece of the jelly and use it just like in #1.
  4. You can break a little piece of the jelly, mix it into a shower puff with some water, and use the shower puff to wash your body.
  5. You can break off a piece, put it into a strainer, run it under water, and enjoy bubbles in your bath! (Thank you,
So far I have tried all of the methods except for method #2 or #5. I've found that the most effective way for me to use a shower jelly is to mix it into a shower puff.

Why, you ask? It's because I find that on their own the shower jellies don't lather very well. When you put some of the jelly into a puff, not only does this make the jelly last longer but you can actually get a pretty good lather this way. Plus the jelly is really slippery when you  use it in its original form, and you may end up losing a lot more of it down the drain than you might like to.

As with all of their products, LUSH uses natural ingredients in their shower jellies. Although I do have to mention that these kinds of products are typically not free from sulfates or parabens. On the bright side, the shower jellies are vegan and not tested on animals. You win some, you lose some...right?

Bouncy Bunny has a pretty strong vanilla-y orange scent. It smells kind of like an orange popsicle, which I don't mind too much.

My two favourite things about Bouncy Bunny is that: 1) it is very moisturing, and 2) I adore the shape that the jelly comes in when you take it out of the container:

Really cute, right? :)
