1 | Nail Polishes

Left to Right:
Shannon (It Girl) |  Pale minty silk | $14.00 (Non-Maven) / $11.20 (Maven) *
Kennedy (Classic with a Twist) | Khaki crème | $14.00 (Non-Maven) / $11.20 (Maven)
Tatiana (Boho Glam) | Golden burnt orange microglitter | $14.00 (Non-Maven) / $11.20 (Maven)
Blakely (Bombshell) | Purple and green molten with a metallic/chrome finish | $14.00 (Non-Maven) / $11.20 (Maven)
Fiore (It Girl) | Espresso brown crème | $14.00 (Non-Maven) / $11.20 (Maven)
Sabrina (American Beauty/Classic With a Twist) | Zesty orange shimmer crackle | $14.00 $2.99 (On Sale!)
* Shannon was available only in this mystery box, so I'm going to assume that it has the regular $14/$11.20 value

Overall, the nail polishes aren't too bad. I'm really liking Shannon. Here's the manicure I included in March for my Monthly Manicures series:

This is the second (or is it the third...?) time I'm receiving Kennedy and the second time I'm getting Tatiana (the first time was in the Taryn box).

I'm glad to see Blakely again because I gave it away as a Christmas present in December. Here's a closer look at it:

Fiore is one of my favourite polishes since it's such a versatile colour. Also, the formula is quite excellent.

In terms of Sabrina, it's very much like Ursula from the 100% Mystery box. It smells awful (which is something that I forgot to mention about Ursula in my last Lucky Mystery Box review), and the formula was equally fussy when I tried it out on the swatch wheel. I've never tried crackle polishes before though, so I'm willing to give Sabrina and Ursula a fair try.

2 | Glycolic Hand Scrub | $23.00 (Non-Maven) / $18.40 (Maven)

I've never come across this product before, so I'm definitely happy that I'll get to try it out. I also really like it when products have a safety seal:

Here's what the hand scrub looks like:

3 | Forget-Me-Not Seeds | $5?

You know how Julep sometimes sends out candy in Maven boxes? Well, from what I understand there was a collection some time ago where Mavens received these seeds as a bonus gift in their boxes. As it says in the small writing, the idea is that the flower seeds are a thank you for helping Julep "grow into something beautiful." Cute, right? I'm pretty sure that this isn't meant to be a bonus gift this time around; I think this is actually meant to add to the overall value of the Shannon box. I'm clueless as to what these might be worth though, so let's just say it's $5.

Hmm. With summer quickly coming up, I might actually plant these!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

|| Total Value: $112 (Non-Maven/non-sale), $82.39 (Maven/sale) ||

As with all the Julep mystery boxes, this one falls short of attaining the $100 Maven value. Considering that I paid only $24.99 (US) for this box, I definitely ended up receiving more than my money's worth. The repeat polishes for me were Tatiana and Kennedy, which will have to go into the gifting pile.

As we've all seen thus far, Julep uses the mystery boxes as a way to get rid of old stock. Mystery boxes are a great way to start up your Julep collection, but for Mavens that have been around for a while these boxes can yield disappointments in the form of repeat products.

Having said that, would I purchase another mystery box? Definitely! I would stick to only one though, haha.

What Lucky Mystery box do you think is the best? Shannon, Taryn, or 100% Mystery?

Thanks for reading! -A.~
